Day 01 - Negombo

Arrive in Negombo and make your hotel reservation. Spend time with your loved ones, exploring the town’s bustling fish markets or simply relaxing by the beach.

 

 

Day 02 - Pinnawala, Sigiriya

Go on a town tour of beautiful Negombo and see the beautiful beaches and vibrant religious structures. Visit Sigiriya to assist the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, a wonderful location to interact with adorable infant elephants that have been left without parents.

 

Day 03 - Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa

Climb Sigiriya Rock first thing in the morning as it is the most popular tourist destination in Sri Lanka. The famous large lion paws stand guard at the top of the stairs that once led to the monarch’s palace. Explore the afternoon of Polonnaruwa town to see the historic ruins of the island’s incredible past. And return to Sigiriya to end the night.

 

Day 04 - Anuradhapura, Habarana

Explore Anuradhapura, the oldest historic city in the country. 117 different monarchs ruled the nation during its history, constructing Buddhist monasteries, lovely gardens, and irrigation systems. Take part in an exhilarating jeep safari through Minneriya National Park in the afternoon which is home to the largest annual elephant gathering in the world. Proceed to end your night in Habarana.

Visit the UNESCO-listed Heritage Site, the Dambulla cave temple which is located in Kandy. The walls and ceilings of the five caverns here are decorated with artwork that spans centuries. Take an interesting tour of the Matales Spice Garden afterwards.

Day 07 - Nuwara Eliya

Enjoy the breathtaking views of endless green tea fields as you approach Nuwara Eliya a hill country situated 1800 meters above sea level. Take a break from your journey to visit a tea factory and see the magnificent Ramboda Falls. You can buy factory sparkling tea when you visit the manufacturing unit outlet. Take a tour of the chilly city of Nuwara Eliya city in the afternoon.

 

Day 08 - Nuwara Eliya

Make a visit to another popular site in Sri Lanka, Horton Plains. Look at the main attractions like Bakers Falls and Worlds End. View the other popular places in Nuwara Eliya.

 

 

Day 09 - Ella

Travel to Ella by train, taking in the picturesque scenery of misty mountains and abundant tea plantations. Explore the quaint town of Ella, hike to Little Adams Peak and stop by the Nine Arch Bridge or just take in the breathtaking views from this paradise perched on a hill.

 

Day 10 - Yala

Travel to Yala early in the morning, then embark on an adventurous jeep safari through Yala National Park in the afternoon. Savour the thrill of viewing animals such as elephants and leopards in the park’s diverse settings.

 

Day 11, 12 & 13 - Galle

Explore Galle’s magnificent Dutch Fort which is thought to be Asia’s best-preserved colonial fortress first thing in the morning. This is also the location of the oldest breadfruit tree on the island. Use the Madhu River Boat ride to get a close look at the wetland ecosystem. Visiting the turtle hatchery is one way to support the conservation efforts to protect the young turtles that are in danger of going extinct. Take a stroll along the sandy Galle beach with your loved ones and create memories. Enjoy an exciting day of water activities in the Bentota River on your final day in Galle.

 

Day 14 - Galle/Departure & Colombo (if time permits)

Consider taking a brief city tour of Colombo if you have time before your flight then proceed to the airport.
